Director of Precollege Programs

Susan Rowe joined OSU in 2010, where she earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Environmental Education. Susan brings to Precollege Programs 15+ years in education scholarship, training and experience in both formal and informal learning settings, as a practitioner and as a researcher. Prior to joining our team, she led the OSU Carnegie Community Engagement Reclassification effort helping document important aspects of OSU’s institutional mission, identity and commitments to outreach and engagement, engaged scholarship, teaching and service.

As a first-generation student and a Latina woman in science, Susan is committed to building equitable pathways for underrepresented and underserved students in STEM fields and STEM education. She is focused on bridging her research, education and community engagement talents to create a world where all youth envision their potential, have a sense of belonging, thrive and succeed.
